The purpose of the Promethean Installation Training is to provide each participant with the fundamental knowledge and skills needed to install, test and demonstrate an ACTIVboard and additional peripheral devices. The class takes participants step by step through the Promethean approved methodology for installing the ACTIVboard, projectors and other products that make up the Promethean Collaborative Classroom.
The training stresses the importance of the installer. As a Certified Promethean Installer, the individual is a vital part of the Promethean team. Many times the installer is the first person representing Promethean that actually visits the teacher’s classroom. As a result, it is important that the installer makes the best impression. Installation training stresses the importance of everything from dress to understanding where the installation is to be done to knowledge of how to perform the installation.
This class will cover the safety measures and installation procedures for the ACTIVboard and accompanying products and software. As well as troubleshooting the electronics of the board. The Certified installer is instructed on the correct procedures involved in completing a Promethean Installation of the boards, from project plan, to overview of the software. They will get hands on installation training and walk through the more common troubleshooting issues.
The training gives a comprehensive look at all the steps in installing the ACTIVboard and the projector. Participants learn how Activstudio is installed and the fundamentals of the software. The training also includes actual installations of the ACTIVboard and projector as well as troubleshooting and support.
Having your installations done by Promethean Certified Installers extends your board's warranty from 3 to 5 years. The installer is given tier one priority customer support as well as an installation kit including spare parts to ensure the installations go a smoothly as possible (Onsite training receives one kit per session not per installer.)
Our latest product, the ACTIVboard+2V2 can only be installed by a Promethean Certified Installer. And only Promethean Installers will have access to the installation manual. Promethean cannot stress how important this training is if your intent is to purchase the new AB+2V2.
